12月16日 From Dingzhou to Dongzhou, Bastards Will Get What They Deserve   (Photos: Xinhua)
Shanghai Daily and Reuters noticed the trial of local officials behind the deadly attack on villagers over land disputes six months ago in Dingzhou, Hebei. Too little too late, we may say. But official Chinese press didn't run this story without the nod of someone high up. This is a signal.
The trial's bad timing for what happened in Dingzhou, Hebei six months ago; but the timing may be just right, or intended, for what has just happened in Dongzhou, Guangdong Province a week ago.
Mark my words: punishment will be meted out to the bastards, maybe still too little too late. But it will.
